Dr. Miriam Were has written a set of four books to encourage youth to live their lives with purpose. In her words, "the books present young people facing up to the challenges in their lives: in education, in personal choices and in rejecting negative traditions." This empowers them because they can see that an individual is NOT a passive accommodator of what happens to him/her.€
