The Gift of Books
GPA African Advisory Board Member Dr. Miriam Were, a globally-distinguished physician and Founder of Uzima () has written a set of four books to encourage youth to live their lives with purpose.  In her words, "the books present young people facing up to the challenges in their lives: in education, in personal choices and in rejecting negative traditions."  This empowers them because they can see that an individual is NOT a passive accommodator of what happens to him/her.€

One set of books includes:
The Boy in Between
Your Heart is My Alter
The High School Gent
The Eighth Wife

Individual Set: 1 set of 4 books for $50 ($12.50/book)
Library Set: 10 sets for $400 ($10.00/book)
Classroom Set: 30 sets for $1000 ($8.33/book)
